These weren't minor hiccups: airlines grounded, financial transactions halted, AI services offline, government portals down. When Cloudflare crashed on Nov 18th, over 20% of global web traffic felt it instantly. This is the reality of hyper-centralization: a handful of providers control 60%+ of cloud infrastructure, creating massive single points of failure. Recent outages have cost billions in lost transactions, missed trades, and paralyzed operations. The blast radius keeps growing.
