As Gate TR, we have completed the system updates we have carried out in order to fully comply with Turkish laws and regulatory expectations. In this context, by fully complying with the requirements of the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) Communiqué (Sequence No: 29), deposit and withdrawal transactions have been reactivated.
Thus, all our users can safely deposit money into their accounts and make withdrawal transactions. We would like to reaffirm that all your funds and assets are safe and state that we continue to work to improve our service quality.
Important Note: Deposits and withdrawals of Turkish Lira (TRY) between bank accounts and the Gate TR wallet are not subject to these rules. Within your limits, you can deposit and withdraw TRY as you wish.
Details of the Updates:
1- Transaction Description Requirement:
For crypto withdrawals, a statement of at least 20 characters explaining the purpose of the transaction must be included.
2- Initial Withdrawal Restriction:
Your first withdrawal can only be processed 72 hours after your first crypto deposit or spot purchase. Withdrawal requests made within this period will not be processed.
3- Withdrawal Waiting Period:
Following each crypto deposit or spot trade (only buying transaction), withdrawals are subject to a 48-hour waiting period.
4- Withdrawal Limits:
Stablecoins have a daily withdrawal limit of $3,000 and a monthly limit of $50,000. These limits may be doubled upon submission and approval of additional documents.
Crypto assets other than stablecoins (e.g., ETH, BTC) are not subject to these limits and can be withdrawn as usual.
FAQs:
1- I transferred TRY from my bank to Gate TR. Will there be a waiting period?
No, TRY deposits made to Gate TR from your bank account are not subject to any waiting period. You can deposit and withdraw TRY between your bank and Gate TR accounts at any time.
2- I want to trade using the TRY in my wallet. When can I withdraw?
Once you buy crypto or stablecoins with the TRY in your Gate TR wallet, you must wait 48 hours before making a withdrawal. If this is your first transaction on Gate TR, a 72-hour waiting period applies. Otherwise, the standard 48-hour rule applies to all withdrawals.
3- When does the 72-hour waiting period apply?
The 72-hour period applies after your very first deposit or first trade (only buying transaction) into your Gate TR account. You won’t be able to make withdrawals during this time. After this, all transactions are subject to a 48-hour waiting period.
4- When is a transaction description required?
A transaction description is mandatory for all crypto and stablecoin withdrawals, except for TRY withdrawals to your bank. The description must be at least 20 characters and clearly state the purpose of the transaction.
5- Are there withdrawal limits for Bitcoin or Ethereum?
No, the withdrawal limits apply only to stablecoins. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies are not subject to the $3,000 daily or $50,000 monthly limits. You must first save the wallet address in your address book before making a withdrawal. Gate TR may request additional information or documents.
6- Does a new waiting period start after every deposit?
Yes, each deposit or crypto purchase triggers a new waiting period. For example, if you buy Bitcoin with 10,000 TRY on September 1, and then buy Ethereum with another 10,000 TRY on September 2, you must wait until September 3 to withdraw the BTC and until September 4 to withdraw the ETH. Your first-ever withdrawal on Gate TR will always be subject to a 72-hour wait.
7- Can I still trade during the waiting period?
Yes, the waiting period only affects withdrawals. For example, if you deposit 5,000 TRY and buy Solana, you can still sell it before the 48 hours are up. If you convert it back to TRY, you can withdraw the TRY to your bank without any wait or limit.
8- I sold my crypto and converted it to TRY. Will there be a waiting period?
No, there is no waiting period for TRY withdrawals or deposits between your Gate TR wallet and your bank account.
