It is a kind of fundraising method for cryptocurrency projects when they are about to issue their token or coins. IC0 articipants purchase the supposed issued token with mainstream currencies at a lower price. When the price of the token increases, IC0 participants gain interests and vice versa. However, IC0 is considered a risky activity since some of the projects end up not issuing any token, and the price of token can either rises or drop, resulting in possible losses.
