Hard Fork
Refers to a situation where a new kind of Blockchain is diverted from the original. That can happen because - let‘s say - someone thought there is a bug in the Blockchain and therefore modified the source code. Yet, the upgraded version clashed with the existing one, causing permanent divergence of the two versions.
