One of the Top 10 strategic technology trends for 2020 proposed by Gartner. Autonomous things are physical devices that use AI to automate functions previously performed by humans, which is divided into half autonomous things and full autonomous things that are mostly applied to industry. The half autonomous things, autonomously get part of the functions done, need the coordination of human labor to finish the task. The full autonomous things can autonomously get all the functions done under the control of human labor.
