According to FinanceFeeds reporting, Argentine federal judge Marcelo Martínez de Giorgi cleared President Javier Milei, his sister Karina Milei, and nine others in the LIBRA criminal investigation on October 23. The 60-page ruling found insufficient evidence to establish fraud or criminal liability.
The token collapsed in February 2025 from above $4 billion market capitalization to 90% loss within hours. Judge Martínez de Giorgi concluded that Milei's promotional visibility and the timing of insider withdrawals—approximately $100 million as the token crashed—were not sufficient by themselves to prove criminal deception. The decision substantially reduces Milei's criminal exposure, though excluded investors may pursue reinstatement to challenge the ruling.
