AWS Cloud Capacity Sold Out Through 2026, 2027 Substantially Booked, CEO Says

According to Amazon CEO Andy Jassy on October 23, AWS cloud computing capacity for 2026 is sold out, 2027 is substantially booked, and 2028 has already attracted considerable pre-orders. Demand from AI labs and enterprises is straining cloud infrastructure supply. AWS will retain some resources for on-demand services like EC2 and Bedrock, while locking in large-capacity reservations with customers. Amazon allocated approximately $220 billion in capital expenditures for 2026 to address the surge in demand.
