According to Paradigm CTO Georgios Konstantopoulos, the team has completed the audit of evm2, a new Rust-based EVM implementation with built-in just-in-time (JIT) compilation, set for deployment across Foundry, Reth, Tempo, and other EVM projects adopting the tech stack. The open-source code is available on GitHub. According to the repository, evm2 execution speed reaches up to 2 times faster than the mainstream Rust EVM implementation revm. The new EVM allows developers to customize opcodes, gas rules, transaction types, and precompiled contracts without modifying core code.
