Bernstein Estimates OpenAI Infrastructure Spending at $614B by 2030, Below $750B Market Consensus

According to Bernstein analyst Mark Moerdler, OpenAI's cumulative infrastructure spending across disclosed power partnerships could reach $614 billion by 2030, significantly below the widely cited $750 billion market estimate. The forecast assumes all identified contracts proceed as planned, though actual spending may decrease or shift due to data center delays, project cancellations, or hardware procurement adjustments.

Agreements with Oracle, Microsoft, and Amazon represent approximately $300 billion, $250 billion, and $138 billion respectively, with typical durations of five to eight years, according to Bernstein. A CoreWeave partnership has a cap of $22.4 billion but does not guarantee minimum revenue. Annual spending is projected to peak at $184 billion in 2031.
