Nine Crypto Organizations Found Quantum Alliance; 6.04M Bitcoin Exposed to Quantum Risk

According to Decrypt, nine blockchain-related organizations launched a quantum alliance on October 18 to establish unified quantum-resistant standards and verify anti-quantum capabilities across networks, wallets, and infrastructure. The alliance will operate through four working groups focused on blockchain migration, post-quantum zero-knowledge systems, wallet security, and cross-chain compatibility. Founding members span protocol layers, privacy networks, rollups, hardware wallets, and security audit sectors, including Quantus, Postquant Labs, Midnight Foundation, and Keystone. The alliance noted that approximately 6.04 million Bitcoin, representing roughly 30% of total supply, currently faces quantum exposure due to elliptic curve signatures used by mainstream blockchains.
