According to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zaharova on November 7, Russia views the upcoming "Koalicja" multinational military exercises scheduled for November 9 in Poland as a sign of Western unwillingness to address Russian security concerns. Zaharova stated that the timing of the drills, just before planned negotiations in Abu Dhabi, demonstrates that European countries have little to contribute at the negotiating table. She emphasized that deployment of foreign military forces in Ukraine would constitute armed intervention and pose deliberate security threats to Russia. Zaharova warned that any deployed foreign armed forces would become legitimate targets for Russian strikes.
