Russia's Rosstat Hit by Major Cyberattack, Economic Data Release Delayed to Nov 13 or Later

According to Rosstat, Russia's Federal State Statistics Service suffered a major cyberattack on Nov 7, causing partial system outages and delaying the release of multiple key economic reports to at least Nov 13 or later. The agency stated that parts of its infrastructure remain offline and are still under recovery, with certain infrastructure areas kept in isolation to ensure data security and allow for comprehensive checks.

Rosstat's website has since resumed operations, but the deadline for enterprise statistical report submissions has been extended to Nov 13. The agency noted that the extended data collection period may further delay the publication of certain datasets.
