According to Longzhong Information, in October, high-sulfur crude oil imports at Shandong independent refineries rose to 40% of the total, up from 11% in September, while medium-sulfur crude fell to 46% from 74% and low-sulfur crude declined to 14% from 15%. The shift reflects increased arrivals of Iraqi, Canadian, and Qatari high-sulfur grades alongside reduced medium-sulfur supplies. In tandem, high-sulfur petroleum coke accounted for 56.82% of output in October, up from 56.63% in September, while medium-sulfur coke declined to 40.53% from 40.97%.
