Taiwan Advisors Recommend Six Sectors on U.S. Midterm Results; AI Demand Unchanged

According to a major Taiwan-based investment advisory firm, on November 7 following U.S. midterm election results, Democrats secured control of both chambers of Congress. Starting 2027, the U.S. will enter a divided government era with Republicans controlling the White House and Democrats leading Congress. Despite short-term market concerns about AI industry regulation, the advisory firm emphasized that global AI demand and U.S.-China technology competition remain unaltered, presenting a buying opportunity during market weakness. The firm recommended six sectors for staged investment: ASIC, optical communication, power equipment, semiconductor equipment, cloud service providers, and cybersecurity. Taiwan's Q3 GDP grew 14.36% year-over-year, driven by strong AI exports and capital investment.
