Tencent Launches Deep Integration Between WeChat Work and WorkBuddy, Enabling Access to 10 Office Capabilities

According to Beating, Tencent has launched a deep integration between WeChat Work and WorkBuddy starting October 13. In the new WeChat Work version 5.0.12, employees can interact with WorkBuddy like a colleague—chatting, assigning tasks, or adding it to group chats for message summarization, meeting notes, and email drafting. WorkBuddy 5.8.0 now supports WeChat Work account login and can access 10 office capabilities including chat messages, documents, meetings, and cloud storage within enterprise authorization scope. WorkBuddy can also integrate with WeChat Work's built-in AI assistant "Yuanyuan" for complex task collaboration. Employees no longer need to repeatedly upload materials; completed tasks can be saved directly to cloud storage. The integration is available to verified WeChat Work enterprises with limited free trial slots.
