Tesla Adds Extra Shift on Cybertruck Line to Clear Orders Before Mid-2027 Shutdown

According to COINOTAG, Tesla added an extra production shift on the Cybertruck line at Giga Texas on November 7 to clear a substantial backlog of undelivered orders ahead of the line's planned closure. CEO Elon Musk stated in an X post that pending Cybertruck orders far exceed the facility's remaining production capacity before mid-2027.

Musk indicated the additional shift aims to fulfill existing customer orders before the production line is dismantled as originally planned.
