Zcash Co-Founder Sean Bowe Proposes Terminating ZCG Funding, Redirecting 8% Block Subsidy to NSM

According to Foresight News, Zcash co-founder Sean Bowe released a ZIP proposal today to terminate the Zcash Community Grants (ZCG) automatic funding stream and redirect its 8% block subsidy share to the Network Sustainability Mechanism (NSM). ZCG currently holds approximately 91,452.98 ZEC (roughly $125 million), sufficient to continue funding activities without the need for ongoing block subsidy allocation. Upon activation of the proposal, the 8% share will be directed to the NSM fund, while ZCG's existing assets and governance rules remain unchanged.
