Crypto Lobbying Spending Drops Q3, Coinbase and Others Invest Over $4M

According to Odaily, Coinbase and major crypto industry organizations reduced their third-quarter federal lobbying spending compared to the previous quarter, though total expenditure still exceeded $4 million for the period and has remained above this threshold for six consecutive quarters. The spending decline followed the failure of the CLARITY Act in the U.S. Senate in September, which aimed to establish a regulatory framework for digital asset markets. Year-to-date through mid-2026, the crypto industry has invested over $8 million in legislative efforts, with Coinbase spending approximately $2.2 million and Kraken investing nearly $1 million.
