According to Senator Richard Blumenthal's office, the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations sent records requests on Nov. 5 to World Liberty Financial, Fight LLC, Binance, Tether and major crypto industry donors including Coinbase's Brian Armstrong, Gemini's Winklevoss twins, Paxos' Charles Cascarilla, Kraken's Arjun Sethi and Ripple's Brad Garlinghouse. Recipients must begin responding by Nov. 30, 2026, with full compliance required by Jan. 4, 2027. The subcommittee warned that failure to voluntarily provide requested materials by the January deadline would prompt additional enforcement measures.
